Description (What?)
In the second year of my University, I participated in the DBS Singapore Business Case Competition (DBS-SBCC) with a group of friends. We had to think of solutions to tackle challenges faced in the society.
Theory & knowledge building (So what?)
For this competition, we were given a case study containing a new start-up, where we had had to analyse the challenges and goals of the new start-up. We had to conduct a lot of research on the background of the new start-up, so that we would be able to propose an effective solution for them. For this assignment, we were given a week to complete all research and our presentation. Since we had ongoing school projects on top of this competition, we had to juggle our time well due to time constraint.
Action-oriented level of reflection (What next?)
I learnt how to effectively manage my time to juggle between the ongoing school projects and the competition. Also, I learnt how to think creatively so as to ensure that the solution would be effective and realistic.
