Borton's Development Framework
Description
For our group assignment for this module, we had to interview an employee in a company to understand the revenue process of the company. From the interview, we had to make a flowchart of the revenue process to illustrate the process. For a section of our group assignment, we had to pinpoint the flaws of the company's revenue process and suggest a possible improvement. It was difficult to identify the flaws as the employee we interviewed was less likely to mention the flaws of his company's revenue process.
The Analysis
This led to us being more critical of the interview performed by the employee. We also became more cautious of what was told to us to allow us to identify some potential flaws of the revenue process of the company more easily.
What did I do/ and what I will do if it happens again
From this experience, I understand that it is important to have a critical and questioning mindset when there is a large input of information given to us. This is especially important for auditing where we have to be critical of evidence provided by us from clients.
