This session was presented by the one and only Ed Campos. I meet Ed at a CVCUE conference last year and we have become friends. We both live in the same town and it is great to be able to call on Ed.
My only regret about this session was having to cut out early for a music booster meeting and having to wait for the recording to go up to hear how it ended.
I love that Ed used a hyper doc for his session. I was at the same CUE event Ed attend that Lisa presented at and I have been expanding more and more with hyper docs and well. Subs in my class love them and find it much easier to mange my classes as long we don't have any issues with the wifi. I started with one class and added a second the last month of the school year. My goal this summer is to add a third for the fall.
Task #1 - There's an App for That
Ed had us list our current favorite apps for education.
While I like that Ed mentioned Air Server as an option to mirror an iPad for a conservative District or one that has weak wifi Air Server can be a problem. We now have fiber lines that are currently being run in the District and teacher computers will be open for them to update Air Server when needed.
Iron Chef - Apps Presentation
I use a number of the same video apps as Ed having been at his app smashing CUE session in the past. I do default to iMovie over Gravie so this was a good reminder that I could go back and give Gravie a try again.
I really appreciate Ed's hyperdoc and I have bookmarked it for future use to share some of the resources with teachers in my District.
Ed is an awesome ROCKSTAR!
