Part Deux
Since I was not able to complete the program with the last Cohort due to an injury I changed or should I say added a new project while finishing with the current cohort. In my half time position this year as a Technology Specialist for my district I have heard time and time again from teachers that they are frustrated with having training materials in too many places. This got me to thinking and I decided to create a site called The Resource Hub, were links to Google Drives, conference materials, handouts scanned and upload can all be found. So in other words a one stop shop of materials or links to sites with materials. This will be an ongoing site to be developed.
Next year I will be a full-time Technology Specialist for my district and will be adding more to this site then.
This project came about due to a conversation in the G+ community with the current cohort. We were talking about different ideas for our projects and based on an early thought for a project from Raul it focused me in on what my project would be. While the project is still in the growing stage it will be a site to keep updating for teachers over the next year and beyond.

Exeter Appy Hour
I loved this project! Last year teachers were given iPads to use in the classroom and I started hosting Appy Hours at a local coffee shop. This was a time for teachers to meet after school off campus to share ideas and get help with the iPads for classroom use. Out of these meetings, the idea for a website grew as a resource not just for teachers that attended the Appy Hours but for those that did not have time to come and for future teachers in the District. I've had challenges and hurdles with the site due to technical difficulties created by other people but it is finally on track now and while I feel there is still room to grow and improve it is a great start for teachers in Exeter. I have shared it with a few other teachers in Tulare County and I know a few are using it as I've already had some comments from the contact form.
Due in large part to this class and this project, I'm now a half-time TOSA for Instructional Technology in my District and this site has already grown to include a second site for Chromebooks as we started a three year 1:1 roll out this month with Chromebooks, iPads, and Laptops. It is a very exciting time for teachers and students in my District.
