I enjoyed our session with Helen and Anna. Because I have been using an iPad for a while and leading Appy Hours for teachers in my own District most of what they shared was information I was already aware of and share with teachers in my District.

However the one big Ah Ha moment was the ability to lock an iPad to one app under guided access. I shared this with a teacher that put it into practice with a few students that was frustrated with students that keep switching apps and they were so happy with this tip. I also used the tip from a classmate on how to remember the password by what to use.
Setting restrictions was a good reminder as well. We are in our first year with iPads so for use learning from those with more experience is a good thing. No need to try an re-invent the wheel.
The reminder about the keyboard short cuts was good as well. The pages instant alpha was also cool and something to experiment with this summer. I have used the green screen app for short videos with students. The pages for stills would be interesting to try for writing prompts.
I forgot to take a screen cap during the session in today's meeting but here is a cap of the saved today's meet transcript.
Overall this was a good session that I have gone back and listened to the recording of as a reminder of good management skills for iPads in the classroom.
