Dear WLC members and friends,
We are pleased to announce the purchase of more new equipment as follows:
-One complete 140kg set of Pendlay Elite kg bumper plates
-One pair of 25kg Pendlay Elite kg bumper plates
This brings our bumper plate collection now to 3 complete 140kg sets!
-Also please note the addition of a York Elite bearing bar.
This bar is property of Kim Morris-Jacoby who kindly is adding the bar for our Club use. This brings our Olympic quality women's bar count to 3 (DHS, Vulcan, York) to match the 3 mens Oly bars (DHS 2x, Vulcan).
The only problem I see now is we need to 1) learn to share platforms more efficiently and 2) we need more platforms!!!
I have "in the works" a free-class idea to teach volunteers how to build lifting platforms. Please keep this in mind for the near future...You get to use power tools!!!
Meet and Thursday Free Class news:
The pre-meet orientation session is this Thursday, February 2nd at 4 pm in the Loft. All are welcome and encouraged BUT participation is for competitors to prepare.

Post-meet social: We will be hosting a post-meet social/lunch at Not Your Average Joe's on Old Georgetown. Please RSVP by Wednesday, January 25 so I can reserve a large enough table. :)
