Mop it Up
While I'm gone today, simply stay productive. Do one of the following:
March 26, 2014
Homework
I know you have it, so get some done. You're free and clear for today. We'll pick up shooting/storyboarding when I get back tomorrow. If you're really lacking in stuff to do, get with at least one of your group mates and re-evaluate your shots/storyboard. Look and break down places where you can add in extra shots to better engage the viewer. Think CLOSER! Get some shots of faces, expressions, and details. Once you do, type it in on your storyboard in the area between the two tiles that new shot will appear.

Current Event Day
Yeah, I know that many of you have done your first, but this would be a great opportunity to do a second. It's pretty hard to find something for you to do given the circumstances and what we've been working on. Whether you're in the auditorium or in the classroom, you need to do this or you need to find some other work to do. At worst, Just give the illusion of being productive. READ some articles on or around Wired if you've done both current events. I know that you have other homework you need to get done as well. You can do it. One day. If I hear that you caused issues instead from either Mrs. Dickerson or Coach Scott, then you'll completely forfeit your grade on the second current event, if if you've submitted it.

Storyboarding Project
As your concepts are hammered out, come grab a camera and take your photos. The following groups are assigned to the following cameras:
Once you have all of your photos (remember that you need 25), take them off with a card reader (top drawer of my little white cabinet) on to multiple group members' computers. Then, place 6-8 photos per page into an illustrator document with enough space underneath/around the photos for text/directions. Think of how a powerpoint slide handout looks. Again, this should be multiple people per group doing specific parts of the storyboard. For instance, Ponder would do the document with photos 1-6, Rowdy does a document with photos 7-12, etc...
If you get that far, you are good to go. By the end of today, you need to have at least 10 of your photos taken. Remember to check if your camera is set to auto or manual focus. if you need help with cameras, ask around. out-of-focus shots will not be acceptable. DO NOT LET ME COME BACK TOMORROW AND FIND THAT YOU HAVE NOTHING DONE.

The History of Green Screen
To complete this assignment, you will need the video off of my USB titled 'Evolution of Green Screen.' There is a link in the form for the video if you do it at home, but that should only be an option if you are absent. Here is the questionnaire.

Cables and Connections Video
You have two options for this assignment. You may work with a group to create a short video about different cables and connections, utilizing close-ups (they must be in focus!) to show the details of a group of connections (for instance, analog video connections, audio connections, monitor connections). Your video must involve two speakers working as a team to talk about cables.
YOUR SECOND OPTION is also a group project, but involves you working more individually. You will work in a group of 3 to create a set of infographics over the same topics. You can use Photoshop, but I strongly recommend Illustrator. Your designs must be monochromatic, featuring a colored background and white text. Photos of the items are an option for source material, but should be live traced/colored to have more of a 'graphic' appearance.
