12 Principles Video Project
OBJECTIVE: To better understand the 12 principles of animation through creation of an informational video, while reinforcing video production skills and camera shots, movements, and angles.
You will create an informational video describing and exemplifying six of the twelve principles of animation. These principles must be accompanied by externally recorded audio/narration. The video should include:
- At least one animated example created by your group (you may use stop motion or Flash)
- At least one animated example involving hand-drawn images that are scanned in
- At least three examples using live video
- A title/opening image created in Photoshop that utilizes the creative aspects of that program (Type with layer styles, filters, adjustment layers, etc)
- At least three screenshots of video that have descriptive text added to them via Photoshop instead of Movie Maker
- Audio commentary that is the result of paraphrasing/interpreting information found on the Web/my presentation, as opposed to reading the information ver batim.
- Background music that is instrumental and increases/decreases in volume as narration/commentary is spoken.
- HAVE FUN! This is meant to be a time to incorporate humor into these examples, as long as it's school appropriate.
- You may use other people, as long as it is NOT A DISTRACTION to other classes.
BOTH group members will be required to edit and compile the footage you acquire in their own version of the video.
Grading:
- You will receive a test grade over your finished product.
- You will receive two daily grades based on your individual diligence in working on the project; one for the shooting of the video, and one for your diligence while completing the post-production.
- You will receive a daily grade based on your pre-production worksheet's completion.
