You will create a short film as a group of 3 students. Among your group, you must have the following roles filled:
Director – the creative lead who oversees the 'direction' of the project
Production Manager – leads direction of equipment and technical aspects of the production.
Writers – report their concepts to/work with directors
Storyboard artists – quick sketches of camera angles, can also work with written words/directions. Must coordinate with writers/director
Actors (can exist outside of the 3-4 people)
This list of positions must be submitted in a Word document to me before you begin scripting.
Next, you will be required to script out the movie for my approval prior to any filming. After this, see the information for your corresponding class period.
For Period 3, The movie will need to meet the following criteria:
For Period 7, the film will involve a goodbye message from the two seniors, as well as a greetings from the incoming senior. It can be words of advice, words of warning, or whatever you want it to be, really.
The project will consist of the following phases:
40 minutes - pre-production - determine your message, lines, scripting, etc.
30-40 minutes - production - film the movie clips
40-50 minutes - assembly - tie them together using premiere elements or Movie Maker.
