Hearing it Through the (grape) Vine
Check out the following clips of Vines in education:

Vine already has a significant place in the classroom. It allows for quick how-to’s and demonstrations of concepts. However, what if the students used it to showcase what they learned? These quick and often humorous make information a lot easier to cling on to. While you can’t upload to Vine from your PC, you can make Vine-like videos using Movie Maker.
After opening Movie Maker, use the ‘Webcam video’ button on the Home tab to record your own video clips. You could also do this with anything else that captures video, but be mindful that you have to have a way to get it on to the computer.
The video will actually record to a separate file that you’ll have to save, and then add back into movie maker.
Students can record multiple clips, and then splice/edit them using the Video tools tab (see my guide to Movie Maker found at the very bottom of the Windows Basics page for tips on splitting and editing clips). BE SURE THEY USE THE 'SAVE MOVIE' COMMAND when finished, and not the 'save project.' Save project only allows them to continue working and editing on a project when finished; the resulting file will not play if that is all they give you.
The name of the game is to get the clip under 6.00 seconds, as a Vine doesn’t allow anything more. What can they fit inside of that time frame?
· mnemonic device
· key facts
· visual illustrations of concepts
Initial attempts should take about fifteen minutes, but with a bit of practice most any group can do it in less than ten. They should need no more than five minutes to brainstorm a concept, 2-3 minutes to record several takes if need be, 2-3 minutes to edit the video, and 2-3 minutes to save it where needed. You can cut out the last step by requiring an e-mailing/uploading of the clip at a later point in time by an appointed group member.
