"Archaeology Wars" by Bruce BartonWas God just in commanding the Israelites to wipe out whole Canaanite cities? Have the locations of Sodom and Gomorrah been found? Newly uncovered archaeological evidence gives insights to these questions.By today's standards, the command to destroy whole cities, along with women and children, seems barbarous. Because of Old Testament passages like this, the infamous atheist Richard Dawkins calls God "the most unpleasant character in all fiction." But atheists seldom take the trouble to look into the reasons why God told the Israelites to take such drastic actions. The presentation revealed the level of corruption that many of the Canaanite cities had fallen into.

We also explored the four proposed locations of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and which are most promising. Also discussed were the reasons God had to destroy the cities.
