Phosphorus supplementation does not improve reproductive performance

At calving, Holstein cows were randomly assigned to 1 of 2 dietary treatments, recommended or excess. Cows were bred. Miscarriages from 30 to 60 days did not differ between these groups. Phosphorus treatment had no detectable effect on reproductive performance.
