November 2014 BookClub

#METAGAME Book Club November 1 to 23, 2014

Inevitable Instructors and the ISTE Games & Simulations Network held a fall book club from November 1 - 23, 2014.

It involved reading publications, a really great book, going to websites, watching videos, and even going in games. So there is no question about it – the #metagame book club is a Book Club +.

This book club had 2 tracks:

Track 1: Sherry Jones facilitated a discussion of the current academic literature and trends in the field of Game Studies. Click here to access Track 1.

Track 2: Rise of the Horde was chosen to help celebrate the tenth anniversary of the MMO (Massively Multi-player Online Game) World of Warcraft.  Inevitable Instructors facilitated the reading of Rise of the Horde by Christie Golden with supplemental reading from The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell as well as in-game tours of World of Warcraft.
