Join the #Metagame Book Club as we look at one of the premiere dystopian novels of the 20th century, Ender’s Game.
Over the course of the next 5 weeks, we will be getting to know Ender Wiggin the young military genius as he begins his training. Let’s dive into the way VR, AR, and games were used to train soldiers in this book which was written in 1985 and what is being used now...and did the real life military get some of their ideas from this book.
Week 1 Overview
This week provides a brief intro to the book, book club, and an overview of some of the many topics addressed in the book. The dystopian worldview, fake news and manipulation, nationalism and of course their education system - we will be discussing all of these! It's bound to get interesting. For instance, is Battle School more Kolb's Experiential Cycle or a Montessori approach?
