This can include game play. It would also include solo play v. group play. Take a look at page 27 and also 40-43 on peer review and the syllabus pages 64- 65.
Will your students be soloists or part of a guild?
Awarding XP for student work seems like an extrinsic reward. What aspects of Sheldon's Multiplayer Classroom create opportunities for intrinsic rewards?
