(available on Netflix) Avalon (2001) Director: Mamoru Oshii - A Foreign Japanese/Polish film follows a woman as she searches for a higher level of game play in her illegal virtual-reality first-person shooting game. This game is very artsy in the beginning but as the film progresses it mixes action, drama and mystery like an expensive coffee from a barista.
If something more contemporary and feelgood is what you are after, take a look at Video Game High School. Take a step into what the future of education could look like if kids delved headfirst in games without any questions, very interesting things to think about while giving us amazing graphics and visuals. Though Season 1 is on Youtube, the other seasons are on Netflix and can be almost as addicting as "Game of Thrones", well almost...
