Ender's Week 2: Children and Watchers

Welcome to Week 2! This week we cover the first three chapters of Ender's Game. We get to know Ender, his upbringing and his Society and social standing. We are introduced to Ender's being the "Third" as well as Graff, who will play a much bigger role later in Ender's life. We also meet his parents and more importantly his siblings Peter and Valentine, who shaped Ender during these formative years between birth and 6. 

Week 2 - Children and Watchers 

This week we review the first three chapters of the book. Our discussions will focus on 

• Discuss dystopian societies

• Families being planned and programmed to have children for particular purposes 

• The Big Brother aspect of Ender's Society

• The embedded cameras in children

• Children being removed from families for the “the cause”
