1245 Essex. Grant by Robert Gubiun to Sir Henry the dean and chapter of St Paul's London, of all his land in the field called "la Were" in the parish of Fobbing, wherof he had 10 acres by the gift of Henry de Prato and 2 acres by the gift of Ralph son of Lewis.

1281 (10 Edward 1) Surrey. Henry atte Mede, witness to feoffment by John le Lumynour of Bermundsey to Roger Goldsmith of Berkinge, citizen of London, of a messuage in St. Mary Magdalen, Bermundseye.

Abt. 1290 Surrey. Feoffment by Henry atte Mede to Adam le Carpenter of Bermundsey

and Alice his wife of a messuage there. Witnesses John the Luminur and others. Seal with legend: Henrici de Pratis.

1300 (date unknown, possibly about 1300) Salop. Quitclaim by Agnes and Margery daughters of John Mede (de Prato), William Mees, and Mabel late the wife of John Mede (de Prato) and others, to Robert de Levinton, lord of Blakemere, of their right of digging turf for the process of steeping flax in the mere of Blakemere.

1300 (29 Edward I) Surrey. Release by Emma atte Mede late the wife of Adrian le Poleter and sister and heir of the late Henry atte Mede deceased, to Elyas Russel and Juliana his wife, of her right in one acre arable land of the prior of Bermundseye in Reyneresfeld, which they had by the feoffment of the said Adrian.

Abt. 1300 (?) Norfolk. Release by Amicia late the wife of Ralph de Pratis of Helegeton, in her pure widowhood, to Peter le Veutre of Burnham and Leticia his wife, of her right in meadows, faldages etc., together with her dower in lands etc. in the town of Burnham; rendering therefor to her during her life 30s.

Abt. 1300 Surrey. Release by William de Waddon and Ellen his wife, late the wife of Henry atte Mede, to Elyas Russell, citizen of London and Julian his wife, of their right in an acre of arable in the parish of St. Mary Magdalen, Bermundeseye, which formerly belonged to the said Henry atte Mede.

Abt.1305. Surrey. Release by Ralph le Fiskere and Emma atte Mede his wife, late the wife of Adrian le Poletier, to Adam Russell son and heir of Elias Russell, of their right in a piece of meadow called "le Horsecroft" in the parish of St. Mary Magdalen, Bermondeseye.

1311 (5 Edward II) Norfolk. Feoffment by William atte Mede (ad pratum) son of Henry Clement and Roger his son and heir, of Great Frausham, to John son of Henry Syred and John Aldus chaplain, of 1 acre arable in the tilth called "Ywerthlond."

1357 (31 Edward III) London. Agreement whereby John atte Mede, citizen and hosteler of London, and Margaret his wife, being possessed of a brewhouse and bakehouse in the parish of St. Botulph without Bishopsgate, on payment of 8s 1d yearlty quitrent, have granted the brewhouse to William Doder citizen of London and Molt his wife at a yearly rent of 5s 5d.

1388 Essex. Grant by Roger Mede of Berden and Alice his wife to Sir Thomas Dane, prior of Berden, George Morefyn, esquire of Manuden, and John Penden of Berden, of a messuage with a croft in Berden, which they had purchased of Richard Lamberd of Berden in 12 Richard II (1388). ---- Henry VI. Apparently not executed.

1388 (12 Richard II) Somerset. Indenture dated at Sevenhampton Vaux, 1388, between John Strecch, lord of Sevenhampton Vaux, knight, of the one part, and Nicholas Bolour and Agnes his wife and John atte Mede and Christian his wife, tenants of land at "la Mede", of the other, witnessing that he has granted them his meadow in "Landemede" and ½ acre of meadow near the tenement of Peter Domerell in exchange for their meadow in "la "Ferthying."

1407 (8 Henry IV) Kent. Grant by Hamo ate Mede of Folstan to John Fraunceys of Canterbury of a piece of land in the said parish.

1519 (11 Henry VIII) Cornwall & Devon. Letter of attorney by Gilbert Bekytt of Cartuther, esquire, authorizing John Helston and Thomas Hawke to deliver seisin to John Rowe, serjeant at law, Thomas Mede, clerk, Humphrey Collis, John Trehawke, Richard Wode, and John Harris of his manors of Cartuther and Madres, Milcombe in the parish of Lenkynhorn, Paderda in the parish of Menhynyett, Treley in the parish of Plevyate, etc. in co. Cornwall, and in Plymouth and Totewell in co. Devon.

1610 (8 James I) Essex. Copy of court roll of Radwinter Hall. At a court of Alexander Prescott, esquire, the homage present that Arthur Coote held a messuage and three parcels of land. Upon his death, his brother and heir, Daniel Coote, has been admitted by John Meade, gentleman, the steward.
