Hot off the press! Do you still prefer to read the news from a Newspaper like me?

Or, as the trend seems to be going, flick open your phone or switch on the TV! You still see adverts saying 'What the Newspapers say', but how much weight do they carry today?  We have lost our mainstay newsagents in the village, always a stopping post for an after school snack to keep the youngsters going until they got home, and our beloved Library - one drastic cut too many! Of course, you can still pick up a newspaper from the Co-op or the petrol Station.

Years ago at the height of newspapers when there wasn't many alternatives to read the news, there was a reading room on Park Lane at the Grange. The separate front door was open every day and an array of newspapers on racks for the public to wander in from the street and read for free.

Although we still refer to it as 'The Reading Room' it has now become a home for spare chairs and belongings of the groups who use the Grange.

13th February - join us for our next meeting at 10am at Littleover Grange Hall Community Centre, Park Lane. Visitors £3 / Members £1, including refreshments. Come along or contact:
