Littleover Historical Society November News

In November, as many people meet and commemorate the multitude of people who lost their lives in past wars, we also can't help but think about the countries that are in turmoil today and hope for peace. 

Two small booklets researched and written by one of our members Chris Drury, a former member of The British Legion Littleover Branch, will be on sale at Aldi Kingsway with the British Legion 'Poppy Appeal' during November. The books were funded by Littleover Historical Society; the first one describing Littleover War memorials and the second entitled 'The Cross', listing the war memorial graves in St. Peter's Churchyard. All proceeds of the sale will go to the British Legion. They can also be purchased by contacting Littleover Historical Society. 

8th November - we next meet at l0am at Littleover Grange Hall Community Centre, Park Lane. Visitors £3, Members £l, incl. refreshments.
