Picture the Past

This is the North East Midland Photographic Record 'Picture the Past' website. This project is jointly managed by the local authorities of Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, and Nottinghamshire with financial assistance from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

'Picture the Past' aims to conserve and make publicly accessible the photographic heritage of the North East Midlands, thus enabling people to see the richness and diversity of the area's photographic collections. The site has a searchable data base.

Entering “Littleover” accesses nineteen pages, each with eight photographs of Littleover and the Hollow. Enter “Blagreaves Lane” and a single page is accessed containing eight photographs of the opening of Blagreaves Lane library. Enter “Stenson” and there are two pages of photographs of Stenson Road and Stenson Bubble locks.
