The Junior Sailing Program is returning once again for Summer 2025 from June 30- July 17, Monday- Thursday from 4-6pm. The program teaches children ages 10+ with no prior sailing experience the skills to captain their own Sunfish in just 3 short weeks. The course is also a great refresh for young sailors who wish to refine their skillset. Each day includes a mix of reviewing previous content and skill learning through fun, interactive games on and off the water. From safety and rigging up the boats to capsize recovery and jibing, each day includes a new and exciting challenge. Here is what parents had to say about the 2024 Junior Sailing Program: “Amazing program! My son learned a lot, made great friends, and developed love for sailing!” “We loved everything about this program. We loved how the instructors were able to have a schedule for even rainy days. I truly hope they continue the course next year.” LMYC’s additional Summer 2025 goals include continuing to improve and grow the club through beautification efforts, social gatherings and sailing program offerings. In 2024, the club completed a dock restoration, addition of a fence, new gates, steps and more.
