January is typically a slow month for us because our sailing season has not yet started and our social schedule is on hold. But with February here, Spring is around the corner and our activities will be resuming soon. So now is the time to get your boats in shape and plan for that first race in May. Remember too that our Spring clean up followed by our first social event, the Prep Signal, comes in April.

Also, don’t be surprised if you see some of our members out on the lake early, just as we had some late season sailors. For example, Robin and Debbie Fourness took a cruise to the Country Club dock in late October. Typically, the wind was fine for the ride up but it became rather gusty for the return trip. Nonetheless, they made it back without a hitch.
