November 2001 Papoose Article

Out last race day for the season was October 14, 2001 but that did not end our events for the year. During the evening of October 14 our annual meeting for the election of officers for 2002 was held in the in October 14 in the Papoose Room of the LMCC and our awards brunch will be on Sunday, November 18, 2001, also at the LMCC. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this family activity.

For the year 2002, Ditti Holbein will serve again as Commodore with Rich Miner as Vice Commodore, Hank Jelinek as Rear Commodore, Perry Anderson as treasurer and Bill Batchelor as Secretary. Fleet Captains will be Gail Miner, Lightning, John Marx, Snipe and John Miller, Laser. Don Okner, Lincoln Rowley, Jeff Urbanski, Peter Hilgendorf, Jack Robertson and Mark Marrusich will serve as Trustees.

During September and October some of our club members were involved in non-sailing activities. We extend our congratulations to Lincoln and Karen Rowley who were married on September 29, 2001. Also, the Okner clan spent 10 days in Ireland for a family reunion and some sightseeing.
