SURREALISM PROJECT

Surrealism is a hunt for a sense of expression of the unconscious and dream like. It is created when you have

• Believable subject matter in an believable environment, but the two do not make sense or are impossible to exist together.
• Organize objects that fly that would not normally
• Organize objects melting that would not normally
• Put things together that would not normally go together.

Project 1: Investigate inspirational quotes stated by surrealist artists. Send an email with the quote, who made the statement and how you are inspired by the quote.

Project 2: Select a series of fruits and vegetables from the internet and organize them into a composition. Organize them so well that you forget that they are fruits and vegetables.

Consider portraits, landscapes, still lives, cityscape, etc.
