STOP ACTION VIDEO

Stop Motion is Motion based project where an ideas is created, still images are taken with a digital camera (and enhanced in Photoshop if desired), those images are linked together in a movie making program. (Movie Maker, Adobe Premier Pro, and Adobe PhotoshopContinue to work in Photoshop if desired

You may work in teams of two

It can be real life, cartoons, or animation. Be creative!

How to develop the idea:

· Begin with inspiration, think about a public service announcement or making a statement about don't do drugs, or no bullying.

· Create a story line with a beginning, middle and end.

· Take pictures of the images only moving the objects slightly. 200 minimum = 30 second video

· Put it all together in MS Movie maker or Premiere Pro.

Goal: The goal of this unit is for students to create a moving composition that has a story line with a beginning, middle and end while remembering the Principles of design and is a public service announcement

Standards:

4PE: Identify the factors that influence the work of individual artists.

1PR: Demonstrate basic technical skill and craftsmanship with various art media when creating images from observation, memory and imagination.

5PR Investigate how to access available digital tools and innovative technologies to create and manipulate artwork.

2RE: Identify assessment practices to manage, monitor and document their learning.

Objectives: Students will learn to:

2. Explore the history of film as it is linked to photography

4. Create a story board with 12 boxes to show progression and sense of what the story is about.

a. The story must have the following:

i. A beginning, middle and an end

ii. An element of surprise

iii. Be one minute long (minimum of 400 image)

iv. Clear and even progression with good craftsmanship
