EDITORIAL

We welcome you all to this issue of our journal. The paper on Imparting Presentation Skills through Participatory learning Employing Activities by K. Venkata Ramana presents the small scale research carried out by adopting the activity ‘know thyself’ from the book ‘Communication Skills for Technical Students.’ The second paper is on Optimising L2 Utterances Using Web-based Resources by S.Shaik Khader Nawaz and Dr. A. Munian. This paper discusses the significance of including Phonology in English language classrooms and highlights some of the resources that can be used for effective lessons on discourse. The third paper Let’s try the moving image in the ESL classroom in India by Atiya khan places the moving image at the centre of the 21st century English language learning agenda. It examines the significance of television viewing in enriching the learning experiences of ESL. Weak Forms in the English spoken by Engineering Students: Effectiveness of Integrated Approach of Instruction is an action research germinated from the fact that intelligibility of English is considered one of the most important criteria while assessing the language skills of a person.
