Editorial

Teachers are challenged in this digital era to use technology to facilitate language learning. Successful use of technology provides interaction, communicative activities and real audience. Integration of technology in language classroom expands learners’ experience. New technologies develop and are disseminated so quickly that we cannot avoid their influence. Language teachers should be aware of the latest and best technological tools and must gather knowledge about the suitable and available resources to make language learning motivating and successful. Articles in this issue are related to the very concern and five authors have contributed for this issue. Hitesh B.Joshi says that distance education can use all forms of technology from print to the computer in making learning effective. K.E Valarmathi discusses mobile assisted language learning. S.Vijayakumar highlights the technological tools available for brainstorming in a second language writing class.
