It is a matter of great pride that our journal is growing steadily and making mark in this age of technology. We provide a unique platform to learn and share the latest trends in English Language Teaching. As teachers we assess students throughout the year and we need to update our knowledge base. New teaching methodologies are not only important to upgrade our skills. They are to be carried to the classroom.

This issue of our journal has six papers. V.Deepika and M.Kalaiarasan in their paper entitled The Role of Language Lab in Learning English as a Second Language say that the digital language lab motivates student’s learning attitude by providing an interactive learning environment. C. Shihabudheen in his paper The e-text: Its Role in the Teaching of English explores the concept of the e-text and how it transforms the nature of the interaction

between teacher and learner in the process of teaching English as a second language. Smita Nitin in her paper Enhancing Constructivism through Technology explores the concept of constructivism and throws light on its effective implementation with the help of technology. Amlanjyoti Sengupta in his articles Online Dictionary: Language Learner’s Online Guide highlights the advantages of online dictionaries which can popularize and maximize language learner’s dictionary consultation habit. T.Pushpanathan in his paper The Role of a Teacher in Facilitating E-Learning presents the present condition of e-learning and the role of the teachers in facilitating e-learning in Indian education Scenario. G.Vijay in his article Can Technology Surpass Teachers? justifies the efficiency of teachers by illustrating the task and performances of man and machine.
