Photoshop is a Digital Image Manipulation tool, it is the best know - and most requested for employees.
Photoshop Elements is the Home version of Photoshop which does most of what Photoshop can do less the Automation tools.
Fireworks creates and converts digital images into Vector Graphics - which gives them the ability to expand and contract (and much more)
Many other packages exist that may be included with your computer and/or camera's
The important feature of Photoshop is it's ability to work in LAYERS
We will be using Photoshop for class workshops - however for assignments you are free to use ANY and ALL Digital Image software you have access to.

PANARAMA - for Book/Pamplet Cover, CD/DVD Cover, Web site Header, etc.
Since we have the ADOBE CS5.5 Suite we should use all its best features. One that will come in VERY handy for our Book Cover or DVD Cover or Handout Cover is Panarama
Take 10 pictures of:
The Mountain Scape,
The Building your project is about: ex. Howard Dean Center,
The Main Street of the Town: Brattleboro, Springfield, etc.
The Picket Fence - where all your flowers are, Wright Iron Fence by the River Park, Split Rail fence by the Covered Bridge, etc
