Mondays, June 6, 13 and 20, 5:00 to 7:30, 7.5 hours, $75, Instructor: Jil MacMenamin
You don’t have to purchase any software or apps for this course – Google makes all these products free. If you came to the May class - we will be continuing on from there. If you are familiar with gMail, and have been working with different types of electronic documents and want to learn more this class is for you. Most schools, small business and non-profits have converted to Google for eMail, creating Documents, and updating Spreadsheets. Because we work more on-line - we need to learn the tools that take advantage of computers, tablets and phones. Learning to be productive makes you feel great! Accomplishing MORE with LESS makes you efficient! In class we will be reading and writing documents in several formats to increase technical flexibility. Expand how you collect information by learning how to embrace Google Forms, it can do a LOT of the work for you. Extra help will be available until 8:30. Class limited to 12
Creating your Google Presence
You are responsible for your Web Presence just as you are responsible for your Credit Score - HR departments google potential employees, as do landlords, new friends and friends of friends. What people find about you on-line, or if they don't find anything about you on-line ... what they "Assume" is you on-line is due to what you put out there. Just as you have to begin building your Credit Reference (it doesn't build itself), you need to start building the Web Presence you want people to find, and that takes work.
Google Products are Free, widely used and accepted, and a minimum of the tools you need.
Google’s motto is “Do no Harm”
These are the basics you need: Click the Rubik's Cube (apps) > More > Even More

from time to time.
