Aline Cordonnier

Aline holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from Macquarie University in Sydney (Australia). She has also completed her masters in clinical neuropsychology and in cognitive science and neuroscience at the University of Liège.

Her research interests revolve around the concept of memory and autobiographical thinking. In particular, she likes to investigate the different functions of memory, the role it has in simulating future thoughts and plans as well as its link with identity and intimacy. As a researcher, she also appreciates the values in working within an interdisciplinary team.

She’s now working as a post doc at UCL on an interdisciplinary project funded by BELSPO. This project focuses on the intergenerational transmission of memories within Belgian families of resisters and collaborators during WWII. The objectives are multiple, with analyses at the individual level, the family level, and the social level.
