Anthony Lane

Anthony obtained his Master degree in Psychology in 2009. After a complementary Master degree in Criminology (2011 - UCL), he stated his Ph.D (1 year F.S.R grant, then a 4 years F.R.S.-FNRS grant) under the supervision of Pr. Moira Mikolajczak and Pr. Olivier Luminet. He went on from his final year dissertation and kept on investigating the hormonal influence on behaviours, emotions and social cognition.

His doctoral research focused on the effects of oxytocin on several variables such as trust, (pro- or anti-)social behaviours (especially compassion and jealousy), emotional recognition and social sharing of the emotions. He worked on a meta-analysis about oxytocin effects on  behaviours and cognition in healthy subjects. The aim of this meta-analytic work is to allow us a better comprehension of this hormone influences.

He worked also on the testosterone influences on social variables (like aggressiveness and social dominance), impulsivity and emotional recogniton and regulation
