Lydia Lorenzino

Lydia obtained her Master degree in 2011 at the University of Louvain (UCL).  She was a Ph.D student at UCL under the supervision of Professors Oliver Luminet and Moïra Mikolajczak.

Lydia studied the influence of hormones like oxytocin on the perception of social cues, and on the consequent emotions and behaviors.

More specifically, her work aimed at assessing in which context oxytocin can have negative impacts on the quality of social relationships.

In parallel, Lydia was also particularly interested in the interplay between emotional competencies and health during pregnancy.

She studied the moderating role of emotional intelligence in the effect of prenatal stress on pregnancy outcomes and maternal well-being.
