Giorgia Zamariola

Giorgia obtained her PhD at UCLouvain and her Master degree in Neuroscience and neuropsychological rehabilitation at the University of Bologna, Italy (February 2014). During her studies, she spent four months in the Lab of Action and Body at the Royal Holloway, University of London. She had the chance to set up an experimental research for her Master thesis on the topic of “Relationship between interoception and exteroception in the body representation”.

She worked on the Food4Gut project, aimed to prevent and treat obesity promoting a higher consumption of vegetables rich in fibers. Her main research interests are emotional eating and alexithymia, cognitive abilities and interoceptive awareness.
