Define Mentoring. Is this a speech coaching relationship or a longer term relationship to help the member establish a firm foothold with the Toastmasters educational program?

Not only are new members being mentored. Existing members can also request for a mentor.

Mentoring program - Should we recruit people to be in the mentoring pool?

How to involve members so that they will be motivated to become future club officers? Should the current officers invite them to the officer meetings?

When there is only one speaker for the regular meeting, we can incorporate a "Know Your Officer" session and have one of the officers tell the members about his/ her duties and challenges. Interested members can become that officer's assistant through job shadowing.

Mai Lin to send out email to the club regarding the 2/26/2015 spring club contest and 4/16/2015 open house.

Mai Lin to contact Martin to transfer the CL evaluator role on the meeting template to the last item on the agenda.

Mai Lin to talk to Susanne about the meeting on December 11th - first half a regular meeting & the second half as a holiday networking session.

Mai Lin to open and close meetings for the next couple of months to announce the CL evaluator to help the club get into the habit of using the CL manual.

Starting March of 2015, there will be officer presentations every other week to increase club awareness regarding officer responsibilities and to recruit officers for the next TM year (2015-2016). Mai Lin will be the first officer to present on March 19th, 2015.

There is no formal mentoring structure in the club. But we will announce at club meetings that Toastmasters program offers the opportunity. It is up to the members to select if they want to be connected with a mentor or not. It is also up to the member to select and talk to which member to work with in the mentoring relationship.
