Our Pastors
Sr. Pastor W. Michael ByusPastor Mike and Joni Byus have been serving through the Church of the Nazarene since 1981. Having pastored in West Virginia and Youngstown, Ohio, Pastor Byus came to Hubbard in 2005. Pastor Mike is an ordained minister through the Church of the Nazarene and has held several positions with the East Ohio District of the Church of the Nazarene, including District Finance Committee, Advisory Board, Ministerial Credentials Board and District Court of Appeals. Joni is a school teacher and serves in various ministries in the church as time allows, including VBS/Children's ministries, nursery and choir. Pastor Mike and Joni have two grown daughters and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
Associate Pastor Blaze Wood
Pastor Blaze and Krystle Wood attended Toccoa Falls College where they met and fell in love. Blaze earned a bachelors degree in Youth Ministry and Krystle earned a bachelors degree in early childhood education. They were married at Toccoa Falls soon after Krystle's graduation in 2012. Blaze served as youth pastor in New Knoxville Ohio for several years, and most recently ( before coming to Hubbard) has been serving as a volunteer in youth ministry while he has been running his family's catering business. Blaze and Krystle have 4 children: Landyn, Kaidyn, Myia, and Braelyn. They both love the fun that comes with raising young children. Blaze loves the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing sports, being outside, woodworking and cooking. Krystle loves the beach, being outside, puzzles, and dolphins.
