Children's Quizzing

Nazarene Children's Bible Quizzing is a fun-filled ministry for children in grades 1-6. Each year the children study a particular section of the Bible. The children study a weekly section at home, then meet once or twice during the week to go over the material together, practice answering questions, and just to have fun with each other. The sections of the Bible studied are: Genesis, Exodus, Joshua/Judges/Ruth, 1&2 Samuel, Matthew, and Acts, in a regular rotation. This gives the children a great overall background of Bible people and events, especially if they are in quizzing all 6 years.

The questions used in Children's quizzing are in multiple-choice format, which reduces stress and negative competition, while still giving the children healthy competition and an ability to strive for excellence. Children answer these multiple choice questions with a Quiz-Box, which they use to select and display their choice of A, B,C, or D answers. In this way, all the children have a chance to answer all the questions.

There are two levels of competition, Red Level and Blue Level, in order to fit the level of ability and need for competition for each individual child. Quiz meets are not on a rigorous schedule, but teams that do exceptionally well have the ability to go on to regional, state, and even national competition. In addition to the team quizzing, there is opportunity to excel as an individual quizzer, and in the Bible Memory competition.
