Hubbard Church of the Nazarene has a nursery program for birth through age 2 and a Toddlers class for ages 3 and 4. All teachers are certified Naz-Safe meaning that have watched a series of videos to learn how to keep your children safe and have taken a test which they must pass to gain their certificate.
Nursery
Your baby will enjoy the low-key atmosphere designed for infants and babies up to age two. These little ones interact with each other and workers, play with a variety of toys, and receive their bottles and snacks. There is not a heavy emphasis on a structured lesson at this age, though music and simple lessons may be provided. The Nursery has a door direct to the restroom to facilitate potty-training if the children are in that stage.
Toddler Class
At age 3, toddlers move to the Toddler class for a more structured atmosphere and activities. Still providing much free play time, this class also allows for lessons and free time that include coloring, arts and crafts. This age group has a full Sunday School class, and Sunday School style class during Morning Worship and Wednesday evenings, as well. Children learn with lots of hands-on, active fun directed at learning elementary Bible stories and simple Bible truths. The more mobile children can play actively without as much concern for sleeping babies or tiny fingers and toes to step on. This group may also go outside to the outdoor playground at times. Snacks are sometimes provided.
