Small Groups are meetings that are generally smaller and more specific than a weekly, "all church" meeting-though the whole church may be welcome. The nature of a small group is to make a more personal connection between people who have something in common. The settings and purpose of the meetings lend themselves toward more intimate fellowship and meeting the needs of individuals in their current situation. These meetings may be in a home, or at the church, or even at a public place. They may be for teens, for seniors, for mothers with small children, for people in a particular neighborhood, or who are interested in sports, etc, etc. Typically, these groups are started by an individual who has an idea for some particular type of interaction, who sets up the time and place and invites others to attend. These can also be great groups to invite friends to! Some of the Small Groups we currently have at Hubbard Church of the Nazarene are listed below to give an idea of the type, but groups are not always formalized enough to make it onto this website, and a great effort was not made to ensure all were included.
