Former Bolivar Water Treatment & Electrical Power Generation Plant - 1905

This building originally served as the Bolivar water treatment and electrical power generation plant before the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) existed. In 1978, local businesses banded together to restore the derelict facility, adding tongue and groove wood paneling representative of each type of hardwood found in Hardeman County. The Chamber of Commerce occupied the building from 1980 until 2010.

The facility is now owned by the City of Bolivar and is scheduled for repairs.
