Kahn "Swan" House - 1877

Fletcher Sloan created this Victorian cottage for Jacob Kahn, a prestigious mercantile entrepreneur and for his wife Fannie Rosenthall. City historians believe this was one of the last and largest of the Fletcher Sloan cottages built in Bolivar. The Kahn family lived in the home through nearly five generations.

In the early 20th century, the front porch was changed from a small semi-circular one with simple columns to the present bungalow type.
