The Memorial playoffs took place today in front of an appreciative audience. In the semi-finals Team Rowland defeated Team Leblanc and Team Lawrence defeated Team Gosselin which set up some exciting finals. BOTH final game were tied after 7 ends. Team Leblanc prevailed over Team Gosselin to take third place. Scott Lawrence had taken his first shot in the last end and was sitting with two rocks in the 4 foot buried behind numerous guards. Barry Rowland was lining up a raise takeout double for his first shot. He missed that shot but hit numerous rocks and ended up with one of his stones counting behind cover. Scott Lawrence was not able to recover from that lucky shot leaving Team Rowland as winners of the 2024 Memorial Trophy.
