A proud captain Hughie Flood paraded the cup from pub to pub along with some of his team mates as the town welcomed back a friend who had been absent for many years.

Celebrations had been delayed for a week due to hurling commitments the following Sat

,The football celebrations were all the more sweet as we achieved a good win in the hurling that afternoon.

A cabaret was held in O Sheas bar also on Saturday night. Over €400 was raised on the night and this money will go towards helping fund Feile na NGael in the area.

Winner of the door prize of 2 Leinster Final tickets was: Maria Fitzpatrick from Borris. Thanks to O Sheas for providing the entertainment & thanks to all who supported the night.
