Kevin Fennelly Cup Final: Graignamanagh 1.15 V James Stephens 1.11
The first bit of silverware for the Junior hurlers came by the way of a 1.15 to 1.11 win over a spirited James Stephens in pristine conditions in Clara GAA Grounds last Friday evening in a highly competitive Fennelly Cup final. Graignamanagh trailed by two points at the break and a well taken Lee Kinsella goal early in the second half set up a very hard fought win for the boys in green. Terry Dreelans move to full forward proved vital as he picked off 5 unanswered points late in the 2nd half. It also helped that James Stephens were held scoreless for the final 20 minutes of the game. Well done to all involved with the team. The Club would like to wish a speedy recovery and return to the field for manager Maurice Aylward following a successful back operation.
