Graig got the dream start in this tie and shot into an early lead with a Jamie McGrath free and goals from Padraig whelan and Dane Mangan by the 7th min, Graig seemed to fall asleep for the next 15 min & Piltown sent over six unanswered points before the 20th Min. Padraig Whelan took a minor score and three more from Piltown before Jamie McGrath leveled in the closing minutes @ 2-02 to 0-08. Graig scored 1-05 without reply by the 48th min. 2 points from Jamie McGrath, 2 from P whelan & 1-01 from S Kavanagh. Patrick Dowling & Sean O'Brien goaled for Graig. Piltown were restricted to only 2 points in the 2nd half as the backs were well on top. Jamie Mcgrath finished up with a fine point to leave the final score 5-09 to 0-11
