In what was a tough physical encounter the fancied Emeralds proved too strong for the Graignamanagh outfit on this occasion. The senior County men Derek Lyng and Aidan Fogarty really turned on the style and their work rate highly contributed to the Emeralds win. This defeat signals the exit from the Intermediate championship for 2008. Scores: Eddie Walsh 1-0
