Graignamanagh looses one of its finest supporters

Graignamanagh GAA Club is very sad to announce the death of Shem Kavanagh, a loyal Graig supporter and father of current players Shane, Ian & Seamus. The community of Graignamanagh was devastated on Christmas Eve as the news of the tragic and untimely death of Shem broke around the town. Shem has traveled the length and breadth of the County and further to support his sons and all Graig teams. Shem rarely missed a hurling or Highview Athletic Soccer match and always had a friendly smile and kind word for everyone. The hurling and Soccer fields of Graignamanagh will be a lonely place without his presence and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. To his wife Stas, sons Shane, Ian & Seamus and his extended family we express our deepest sympathy and our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
