This was a thrilling minor hurling clash between St. Fiachra's and Freshford. Freshford led for most of the game but Fiachras kept plugging away and Ryan O'Halloran punished the Freshford boys persistent fowling by sending over frees from all angles. The deficit was reduced to 3 points and then a great run from James Meaney saw him open up the Freshford defense and drilled the ball to the net and the game was level and Fiachra's looked like they would push on and win. Both teams traded points before the Freshford attackers with lightning speed tore the defense apart and scored 3 late goals which secured full points for them. Final score St. Fiachra's 1.15 St. Lachtain's 5.14
