MLK in OKC 2019

For the 4 of you who read this blog you know that while in Oklahoma City I attended their annual MLK parade. In January of 2019 I went again. The weather was definitely better than it was in 2018, given that it was about 50 degrees but rather windy. The parade route changed so I had to walk a bit further from my house but it wasn't too bad. Living downtown had its advantages. To be honest, the only reason that I went was to see if there would be another TRUMP/PENCE float in the parade. In 2018 that totally threw me. Well, there wasn't one in 2019 but there was one for the local Republican party.

The highlight of the parade had to be the dancing UPS workers. Did they get the day off to participate? Where did they get those moves?

I don't think that my feelings about the parade have changed much. I can't think of a city or state that more so stands in stark contrast to the ideals and principles of Dr. King. But at least they tried.

So look here to see some pictures from the parade.
